Oh, Andrea. I really really really loved this! First, a character study of my all-time favorite character is just, *yay* but your pacing was superb! loved the b&w and grit throughout. Bravo!!

I am really, really pleased you both enjoyed it. Apart from a rash of silly techie things that kept happening I had trouble finding just the right clips. You think there is lots of Angelus in season 4 but all he keeps doing is talking - he wouldn't shut up! so finding the right scenes was very laborious. But there was no way I was going to let him win the day!

I love the concept of Angelus being free. Angelus is such a fun character to vid, in my opinion. I thought the beats worked very well with the actions sequences, especially the ones with Faith when the demon knocked her her through the air. I liked how at the end you showed when Willow did the spell in both Orpheus and Becoming Part II, accompanied with the gypsy applying the original curse. Also, at the beginning, the shot of him looking out of the cage and how it was sped up was very well done.

I know what you mean! I dislike talking heads myself.
I've watched it a few more times. I think this is going to be one of those vids that I keep going back to. My favorite scenes are the ones with his father. I also love the freeze & flash you did at 1:00 and I also like the first clip of "I'm gonna run" (1:11?). You should feel really proud of this. It's really great!

Thanks LadyManson for the detailed feedback - I love how Angelus really thinks he is free again in S4 yet there's the bigbad manipulating him and he never makes it past Willow and Faith's deception. - I see you've posted your Spuffy vid so I will have a look at that one tonight. I was away this weekend and there's tons to do!

Crystal I am so pleased that it's one you want to watch again I wanted to flash back to Angel(us) becoming free from his father and still tie it in with the beast so it made sense to have those parallels between the beast & Dad. And the clip where his father slowly sinks - yeah chillingly cool

Most definately! It's a quality piece! Yeah, the Dad slowly sinking and then the fade out ...it's chilling. (perfect descriptive word!)
