My name is Crystal (bet you guessed that) and I live in South Carolina. I'm 30, married and have 3 dogs and 1 cat all of which I doubt I could live without. In addition to online activities, I love looking at homes, home decorating and home renovation. My dream is to visit Alaska. I would like to have a home in the mountains (I live within an hour of them now but that's not quite close enough!)
My love of the computer grew on me. My boss asked me one day to help him make a flyer. I had never attempted anything like that before. So I used Microsoft Publisher and did a quick template type thing but I enjoyed it. So I began looking at professional flyers for ideas and began reading up about good programs. I then gained a version of Adobe InDesign which, you probably know, isn't really for graphics but it was the only thing I had and I went crazy with it. I fell in love with making headers for my new blog which I was quickly becoming obsessed with. Next, I moved on to Photoshop and Livejournal. And THAT'S when it got deep!
Couple this with being the same time period I discovered Buffy and the Whedonverse and it was a major cultural/lifestyle change for me.
The first time I ever saw a fan vid, I didn't know it was a fan vid. A friend pointed out a myspace page (this was when myspace was just getting started) and it was an Angel fan vid that just showcased his badassness. I was in awe. I must've watched it a thousand times. Then I started seeking them out.
