Aw! That was so sweet. You chose really nice moments to showcase and you did well with the footage from You're Welcome. The only thing I would perhaps suggest is to play with your brightness/contrast levels and your cropping tool because some of the scenes looked grayish against the black frame. What program do you use?

The program I use is Windows Movie Maker. I use it to crop and to put the clips together. I bought a new program but my computer doesn't have enough virtual memory to run it. So I am looking into buying a new computer. I do need one, the one I have now is like 12 years old. Not all the parts inside are that old but most of them are. Crazy huh??

Anyway, what I find funny is that I never set up to have a black frame. It just kinda happened. When I was done with the video and was checking the final run through before saving it to my computer....there it was. No clue how it got there or what I did to make it show up or whatever. Weird, huh?? I liked it and since I didn't know how to take it away since I didn't know how I put it there to begin with, it stayed.

The inspiration for this video came from a wallpaper someone made. They used part of the lyric "It's only your shadow. Arriving too late and leaving too soon." with scenes from You're Welcome. It is a beautiful wallpaper and I thought WOW a video to that song for Angel and Cordy would be AMAZING. I couldn't think of anything else until it was done.

This video is one of the ones I'm most proud of. Thank you again for the feedback and everything. Please any advice on how to work with the brightness/contrast levels would be appreciated. Thanks again!!

Ack! I hate when that happens --something shows up in your vid and you have no clue how it got there or what to do about it. lol

Well, I use Sony Vegas 7 and it's very easy to pan/crop the frame which basically changes the ratio from 4:1 to 16:3 (or whatever they're called).

What's the new program you bought? I can understand about your computer. I've only had my laptop for a year. My previous computer was 9.5 and it just couldn't do anything anymore. Seems silly that something that age would be no good anymore but that's the way the industry runs I suppose. I think 12 years is a long run for a pc!

I looooooooooove getting new techno stuff though. What kind of computer are you aiming at buying?? (btw, you're at SVS forum too, right? what's your name there? I get everyone mixed up. :/)

The program is Pinnacle Studio 9.5 (I think). I don't remember and the box it came in isn't handy at the moment. But it had amazing looking features and fx capabilities that WMM didn't have. (Big shock!!) It was only $100 but still looked like an amazing program. I've never been able to open it to play around with it because of my virtual memory issue. So I have a $100 program that just sits on my computer with no real function at the moment.

I'm thinking of going with another Dell. It's the kind I have now and has done me well for 12 years. (HOLY CRAP!!!) I just need to go and actually look on the website to see what they have and all that. Any recommendations?? I'm always open to suggestions!!!

On the SVS forum my name is DeansGirl. I decided to use a different screen name there because I wanted to go with something from the show, like I do with SpikesPet. Although the name on all of my videos is SpikesPet. I've used it for so long, I just couldn't bring myself to change it.

The computer will have to wait for just a while longer though. My mom was really cool and let me borrow the money to order the Slayer Scythe Prop Replica and so until I pay that back (which won't take too long), computer plans are look now, buy later. I've wanted the Scythe for like ever!!! I'm extremely excited about it too!!! Can you tell??

I would love to see about getting Vegas but I've heard it's hard to use if you don't know about much about editing lingo. Is that true? Is it a hard program to use and operate? I love your videos and see what an amazing job that program does when someone knows what they're doing. I would love to maybe see if I could do it, but it's a lot of money to spend if I can't use the program. Ya know??

Shoot! I'm nothing on that program like Kitty and Alcoholic Pixie and those others at SVS. But before I even started, I read their entire Sony Vegas help thread at SVS (which at the time was 14 pages long) and I watched an AWESOME video tutorial on YouTube and they helped tremendously.
Once you get it all set it up, perhaps you'll find some useful Pinnacle tuts online.

Dells are solid pcs. I use a Gateway - a lot of people bad mouth Gateway but it's what I've always used and they work great for me. The only thing is, I have a laptop and the screen is a little tiny when using Vegas and sometimes, Photoshop. I think at Christmas I'm going to buy myself a big, fancy lcd monitor that I can hook my laptop too and use that when I'm working on those programs at my desk. The big advantage of the laptop is that I can sit on the couch by my husband and he doesn't feel as neglected even though I'm on my pc.

The scythe prop is BAD ASS!! I hope you'll take some pictures and post them after you get it!! The only thing I have other than the dvds is a season 4 Wesley action figure with some cool accessories. I haven't opened it though. A friend gave it to me as a gift.

I ordered my new Dell yesterday!! I should get it in a week or so. VERY excited about it!!! Can finally use my new program!!

You know as soon as I have the scythe prop, I'll take pictures to post on here!!! I have all kinds of Buffy stuff (figures, dolls, books, posters...etc.) you name it I probably have it or want it!! I just got into the Supernatural stuff as well. I'm doing pretty good on it. But you know I'll share the pics with everyone here!!

I'm off to start work on the February SVS challenge video that has been floating in my head. I know I'll have to use WMM, but at least I can get it done and submitted before the cut off date. If I wait on my new computer I may not get it in time. So, anyway....I'm off!!!

This was a lovely look at Angel and Cordy's relationship! Good job! I love the fact that you included scenes from season 4, which alot of people don't include in their vids, apart from the lovemaking scene, of course.

Sariti ~~ Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it. This is one of my favorite vids of my own. I thought the song was perfect and I'm glad that you liked the Season 4 clips. I tried to use a variety to show their relationship well. I followed the lyrics and tried to use clips when Cordy wasn't necessarily herself for the "shadow" parts of the lyrics. Thanks again!!
